Tough Love is entering it’s 3rd month!
It has been an amazing, whirlwind of a ride and I personally want to give thanks to all those who have believed in me and helped me, not only these past few months in getting the studio set up and open but also through my studies and apprenticeship as well, that has made this dream possible.
The shop is looking fantastic! Thanks to my hubby, Shaun for all the long nights and long hours slogging away to get heating in, walls platestered and kitchens fitted (just to mention the minimum) in time for Launch Day. Thanks need to go as well to my Mum, Dad and Sister-in-Law Julie for taking time out of their already busy lives, to help out sanding and painting, sweeping and mopping. Particularly my Mum who gave me the tour of Sheffield’s antique quarters to buy props. Also, a huge thank you to my Bro-in-Law Darren for building Tough Love’s awesome desk, that I love to hide from Shaun behind to do my designs.
Thank you to Pete for this awesome website! Even though it was out of your comfort zone building this it looks amazing and I really appreciate all of the help you have given me.
Everyone keeps asking about the window and wall art at Tough Love. I have Signs Express in Scarborough to thank for that… David and his team have done a great job! Particularly because the logo was so delicate – Thank you to Rory from ‘No Love Lost’ in Hartlepool for the amazing design and for tattooing it on my head after… ouch!
I wouldn’t be where I am now without my sister Megan and my besties being there for me. Thank you Helen, Sean, Georgina and Lucia for helping me through hard times and being there to celebrate through the good.
Tough Love also owes itself to its customers, past, present and future. Thank you for support!! It means such a lot that you chose me to decorate your bodies with tattoos, never mind that some of you travel hours from London and even further to carry on inky projects! I am also blessed to have the most lovely, chatty, funny customers of which many I can now call friends. Thanks again! You are all rockstars!
